I followed the directions precisely and the screen when it was rebooted lit up but no image. It voided the manufacturers warranty and cost me a lot of money to replace it. I would have rather had an iPhone with a cracked screen that worked than a paper weight.

Too complicated. Incoming sound on phone would not work after replaced. Had to get a new phone.

  3. i received the product in a timely manner. i installed it, messed up a little bit but thats on my side. what was bad was that when i got done installing it, the entire middle of the screen didnt work. it got extremely annoying to do anything on the phone. especially text message. when you send 10,000-15,000 messages, you highly depend on the screen to work. i ended up taking it to apple and telling them the whole story. they were nice enough to give me another one at no cost, but thats very rare to happen. so i highly recommend to not buy this product and just go to apple in the first place. it’ll save you a lot of headache in the end.

Do NOT!!!! think that this installation will go as smoothly as the youtube videos. EVERY SINGLE step besides taking the screws out is MUCH HARDER than it looks. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. This is how my installation went. Take the screws out, spent 15 minutes trying to pry out the screen assembly, take out the screws that hold on the lcd, BREAK MY LCD PANEL FROM PRYING TOO HARD (be VERY careful on this step, DO NOT PRY AT THE LCD LIKE IT SAYS, instead, try to widen the rails that hold it on so that it comes out by itself. THE LCD IS VERY(i wish there was a way to make double capitals, cause I would for that word) FRAGILE.) so anyways, I broke my lcd, but continued with my installation anyways. I got the lcd off finally. The next step is VERY hard if your digitizer is broken, but still hard if it isn’t. You need to heat up the glue with a hairdryer/heat gun until it melts, and pry off every little piece of broken glass off of the flimsy frame and then get all of the glue residue off. This took me all of about a half hour. Then you need to glue on the new digitizer. Now, the double sided tape they give you for this is absolutely nowhere near the quality of the glue that holds it on originally. the screen was falling off and i had to press it back on every once in a while. So, I did that, all done, looks nice except for the broken lcd and the crappy glue. I ordered a new lcd, installed that, (nowhere near as hard because it doesnt require glue melting), put it all back together, and I was happy. Even though it took hours of my time, my hands are all cut up from the glass, I’m happy. My iPhone is back in working order. For 5 minutes. Now guess what?! the home button doesn’t work. I had to take it to apple to get it fixed because I screwed up the very hard installation too many times and effed up the home button. Here is an opinion from someone who is just about the best at anything electronic without being an expert, JUST PAY THE $200 TO APPLE TO GET YOUR GLASS REPLACED. THEY DO IT ALL DAY AND WILL NOT MESS ANYTHING UP! Not to mention, they use the high quality glue that it came with so that your screen will never pop off like mine was. I never review anything and I really felt the need to write this to try to protect people from wasting their time/money and voiding their warranty. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

I guess you get what you pay for, but run, run, run away if you need a new glass for your iPhone.

First off, it didn’t come with a guide. No instructions at all whatsoever. I would have expected this if a GUIDE wasn’t listed in the title. Thanks guys, right off the bat I knew I was going to have problems.

The glass is low quality, appears rippled

The tape included was cut to the correct shape, but not to the correct size

The tools were laughably bad, the green pry bars were too weak to pry anything, the suction cup wasn’t strong enough to remove anything, and the tip of the screwdriver was not fine enough to even work the screws (thanks! I was really happy to strip the first screw I tried to take out!)

The sad thing is, this isn’t even the cheapest replacement on here. Thanks a lot for having such an overpriced, low quality product, now I know to never buy from you again and make damn sure nobody I know ever does either.
